Hello Nancy, yes my fathers body was immediately recovered as he had only been the sea for five mins before someone realised he was in trouble. I could perhaps write down the details in an e-mail and if you felt the story could help others then I would be happy for you to put it on the blog, thanks Kat x

Katharina, we are deeply sorry to hear about your father’s death. You may find the articles and information in the category – sudden death grief and trauma – to also be helpful. Was your dad’s body recovered – don’t mean to be too blunt, but missing remains can compound an already devastating situation…

Wondering if someone can help me. We are a qualified marine search team here in Las Vegas NV. We have state of the art equipment and are being refused permission to go look for lost drowning victimshere in Lake Mead. We do not charge a dime for this. Other teams from out of state that have also volunteered are also being told “NO” by the local National Park Service here locally. Other National Parks welcome the help but Lake Mead NRA does not. Any ideas?

Dearest Mia, I am so sorry to hear about Keionn. His death must be even more painful, based on its proximity to his birthday!

There are many community mental health organizations that offer grief and trauma counseling for free, or at a low cost. If anyone actually witnessed the accident, including any aspect of Keionn’s death, we do recommend seeking professional support, especially as it relates to the sudden death trauma – if symptoms are still persisting…
